fig. 01 — La cucina, VERA · Porto
The food comes first
La cucinaEverything starts
in the kitchen.
Everything good starts before the doors open. Pasta rolled by hand, sauces left to take their time, produce carried in from Italy because it tastes the way it should just the patience a good plate asks for.
Simple things, Done Well
A cuisine of intuition and patience, where tradition is the starting point, never the ceiling.
A Full Table, Always
Long dinners, full glasses, friends who stay past the last plate.
Fatto a mano, come è sempre stato
-
Made by hand, the way it always was

The standard the
kitchen is held to.
VERA's kitchen was built with Salvatore Montella, who shaped the concept and the menu in the restaurant's first months, the recipes, the standards, the way a plate should leave the pass.
His focus is plain and Italian: fresh pasta, classic dishes read with a contemporary hand, technique kept in service of the ingredient rather than ahead of it. He set the bar. Every service, the kitchen cooks to it.
An honest, generous cuisine, Italian at heart, Porto in spirit.
